Kia Kaha from Aotearoa
Kia kaha is my strength and your strength
It kept us safe despite the challenges and uncertainties
We stood strong – my whānau (family) together
Kia kaha my wife, my Hope and my beautiful Amaia, your vibrant lit the path to aroha (love)
Kia kaha to others, to the vulnerable, to the susceptible, to our kaumatua (elders), to our fathers and mothers, to our grandparents, to our Titos (uncles) and Titas (aunties) to the young you maybe weak or strong – Kia Kaha!
Kia kaha is what propelled Aotearoa and along with the spirit of aroha (love) during the uncertainty of Covid-19 epidemic. It was the most aggressive response to Covid-19 and the country was locked down (nationwide lock down) from 23 March 2020 – 13 May 2020 when the rest of the lock down restrictions were lifted. And, on 8 June 2020, all remaining restrictions were removed except for order controls. So, from Aotearoa New Zealand and from my whānau, yung pamilia ko to your family – KIA KAHA!!!
